The Lenovo ThinkPad T15p Gen 1 is a new portable computer offering an announced 12 hour battery life and targeting professionals. Equipped with a 15-inch 4K screen, it is based on an Intel Comet Lake-H processor up to the Octo Core i7, SSD storage, an NVIDIA graphics card but also USB-C, Thunderbolt 3 or even connectivity. Wi-Fi ax, all in a 2 Kg chassis.
The Lenovo ThinkPad T15p Gen 1 is a new notebook PC with a sturdy black chassis compliant with the military resistance standard MIL-STD-810G which weighs 2.07 Kg and measures 366.5 x 250 x 22.7mm and runs on Windows 10 (Pro).
It offers an advertised autonomy of 12 hours with its non-removable Li-Polymer 68Whr battery, rechargeable at 80% in 1 hour thanks to Rapid Charge technology.
This new laptop is despite everything built around a powerful processor Intel Comet Lake-H , Quad Core i5-10300H (2.5 GHz), Quad Core i5-10400H (2.6 GHz), Hexa Core i7-10750H (2.6 GHz), Hexa Core i7-10850H (2.7 GHz) or Octo Core i7-10875H (2.3 GHz), all with integrated Intel UHD 630 graphics.
The Comet Lake-H is associated with up to 64 GB DDR4 2933MHz of RAM (2 slots), M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 x4 SSD storage (2280) via 2 slots and RAID 0/1 support as well as a chipset Intel WM490.
As an option, Lenovo will offer the dedicated GeForce GTX 1050 3 GB GDDR5 graphics card, but no more powerful Turing graphics card.
On the display side, Lenovo provides us with 3 15.6-inch anti-reflective panel options: 1 Full HD (1920×1080) 45% NTSC 250cd / m² 700: 1, 1 Full HD multi-touch 45% NTSC 300cd / m² 800: 1 but also 1 Ultra HD 4K (3840×2160) IPS HDR400 Dolby Vision 100% sRGB 600cd / m² 1400: 1.
The connectivity of the powerful and nomadic Lenovo ThinkPad T15p Gen 1 is well supplied to appeal to many users. It includes Wi-Fi ax modules (2×2, Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201), Bluetooth 5.1 and 4G / LTE (optional), one HDMI 2.0 video output, Gigabit Ethernet ports and Headphone / Mic combo audio, 2 USB 3.0 and 1 USB 3.2 Type-C (Gen2) Thunderbolt 3 .
Also included are a nano-SIM card reader (4G models), a TPM 2.0 security chip, an SD card reader, a ThinkShutter 720p HD webcam for privacy protection, 2 Dolby Audio speakers ( 2 x 2W), a splash-resistant chiclet keyboard with numeric keypad and key backlight option as well as a biometric reader for authentication by fingerprint recognition via Windows Hello technology.
In the same vein, a ThinkShutter 720p HD Infrared webcam is also planned for biometric authentication by facial recognition this time.
The Lenovo ThinkPad T15p Gen 1 will be available in France in the coming weeks, in many versions with at least 16 GB of RAM for the most part.
Price side, it is question of 2149 dollars for an edition with Core i7-10750H, 1 TB SSD, GTX 1050, 16 GB RAM and Full HD panel under Windows 10 Pro. The price drops to $ 2300 with a Core i7-10750H, SSD of only 512 GB, 16 GB DDR4, GTX 1050 and 4K slab under Windows 10 Pro.
