The new Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 12 Ultrabook announced at CES 2024 is built around an Intel Core Ultra Meteor Lake processor, PCIe 4.0 SSD storage, 5G, Wi-Fi 7 and Thunderbolt 4 connectivity.
A new thin and light laptop introduced at CES 2024, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 12 measures 312.8 x 214.75 x 14.96 mm and weighs 1.09 Kg.
It has 4G/LTE or 5G connectivity via eSIM or NanoSIM (options), Wi-Fi 7 be (2×2) or Wi-Fi 6E ax (2×2), Bluetooth 5.3, HDMI 2.1, headphone/microphone combo audio, 2 USB 3.2 (Gen1) but also 2 USB-C Thunderbolt 4.
In addition, this Ultrabook entrusts its display to a 16/10th 14-inch screen whose most high-end option is: OLED 2.8K (2880×1800) 120Hz 400cd/m² HDR500 True Black DCI-P3.
This laptop stands out for its Meteor Lake processor, a latest-generation Intel Core Ultra offering Artificial Intelligence features but also an integrated Intel Arc graphics solution that is more powerful than the classic Iris Xe, up to the Core Ultra 7 155H.
Its core also consists of M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD storage with a maximum capacity of 2 TB and a low-power soldered RAM with a maximum capacity of 64 GB LPDDR5x 7467MHz.
Of course, the chiclet keyboard can be backlit.
It houses a TrackPoint, a more precise pointing system than the classic touchpad also present (TrackPad optional).
A biometric authentication solution is also present and can be used by Windows Hello technology: a fingerprint reader.
In addition, 2 Dolby Atmos speakers are present, as well as an 8.0 megapixel webcam with privacy shutter to preserve privacy.
The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 12 equipped with a 57Whr battery that runs Windows 11 will be launched in April 2024 from 1679 euros (excl. VAT).
