New affordable thin and light laptops, the Lenovo V14 G3 ABA and Lenovo V15 G3 ABA with 14- and 15-inch Full HD IPS display run Windows 11 with an AMD Barcelo processor up to the Ryzen 7 Octo Core, SSD storage hard drive or USB-C and Wi-Fi ax connectivity.
The Lenovo V14 G3 ABA integrates more precisely a Wi-Fi 6 ax (2×2) or Wi-Fi 5 ac (2×2), Bluetooth 5.0/.2, HDMI (2.5K@60Hz), Gigabit Ethernet (Wake-on-LAN), audio combo Headphone / Microphone, 1 USB 3.2 (Gen1), 1 USB 2.0 and 1 USB 3.2 Type-C (Gen1).
It incorporates an AMD Barcelo APU (Accelerated Processing Unit) processor – equivalent to a Cezanne Refresh – low-power Quad Core Ryzen 3 5425U (2.7 GHz), Hexa Core Ryzen 5 5625U (2.3 GHz) or Octo Core Ryzen 7 5725U (2.0 GHz), all housing within them the Radeon Vega integrated graphics solution.
At the heart of this compact laptop also sit up to 16GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM (4/8GB soldered 1 slot) while storage options depend on the battery:
– 1 slot for 2.5-inch hard drive and 1 slot for M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 x4 SSD up to 512 GB when a 38Whr Li-Polymer battery is present. It can be recharged by 80% in 1 hour with Rapid Charge technology offering an advertised battery life of 8 hours in Windows 11, it is planned.
– 1 single M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 x4 SSD slot up to 512 GB with the 45Whr rechargeable Li-Polymer battery of 2 hours in just 15 minutes, the announced autonomy then being 10 hours.
The screen is a 14-inch Full HD (1920×1080) anti-glare model 45% NTSC or 500:1 TN 250cd/m², or 800:1 IPS 300cd/m².
Above the screen sits a 720p HD webcam with microphone and privacy shutter to preserve privacy.
There are also 2 speakers (2 x 1.5W) Dolby Audio and a chiclet keyboard. What a pity, however, that no option to backlight the keys is provided!
Announced in Business Black (black) and Iron Grey (silver) designs, the Lenovo V14 G3 ABA weighs 1.5 Kg, measures 324 x 215 x 19.9 mm and runs on Windows 11 (Pro).
The Lenovo V15 G3 ABA is distinguished by its 15-inch screen, its weight of 1.7 Kg and its dimensions of 359 x 236 x 19.9 mm, which allows it to accommodate on the right a numeric keypad.
