Chassis, connectors, screen of the Lenovo V15 G3 IAP (82TT008RFR)
With its thin and light Business Black design, it has a very sober look.
It runs on Windows 11 Pro, a more complete system than classic Windows 10 with its advanced network management and security tools like BitLocker.
50% rechargeable in 45 minutes, this Ultrabook is well equipped in terms of connectivity with its USB-C, its Ethernet and audio ports, its Wi-Fi ac and Bluetooth 5.0 wireless modules for communications and remote connections, its practical HDMI video output to easily connect it to a TV or a monitor for example but also its 2 USBs including 1 USB 3.0 (USB 2.0 compatible) guaranteeing transfers made up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0 if you connects USB 3.0 devices to it.
What a pity, however, not to find more recent and efficient Wi-Fi ax, a keyboard backlight solution or even a fingerprint reader.
The screen adopts classic specifications with its TN panel with more limited viewing angles than IPS and its anti-reflective treatment making it more readable in a bright environment (eg outdoors) than a glossy panel. Thanks to its 16:9 format and its Full HD definition, the screen lends itself very well to the display of videos and more broadly High Definition content.
Lenovo V15 G3 IAP (82TT008RFR) performance, battery life
The Lenovo V15 G3 IAP (82TT008RFR) is an understated black laptop intended for everyday general-purpose use.
As it is based on an Intel Alder Lake low-power hybrid Core i5-1235U processor associated with 16 GB of RAM, this thin and light versatile Ultrabook delivers good general performance capable of satisfying many users.
And in particular those who wish to carry out contained multimedia processing taking advantage of multicore and therefore the 10 hybrid cores of the Alder Lake-U, but also of RAM. This is for example the case in video encoding or photo editing.
However, it is better to opt for a PC based on a non-low-power processor and/or an adequate dedicated graphics card if you have the ambition to often perform work requiring processor and/or graphics resources.
No dedicated graphics card is indeed on board. The Iris Xe graphics module is responsible for all the graphics. Thanks to the Iris Xe, you can watch photos and videos but also play modest titles.
In terms of storage, Lenovo logically opts for an SSD which clearly enhances responsiveness and fluidity on a daily basis compared to a simple hard drive. Thanks to the SSD, the starts / stops, processing and launches of applications are much faster in particular, and we reach the cards of online games faster.
The SSD here offers a capacity of 512 GB similar to what standard hard drives offer. In addition, if you need more space, you can add a second SSD or a hard drive via the free 2.5 inch slot. And we always have the possibility of using an external storage unit such as a USB 3.0 / USB-C device to benefit from fast transfers.
As for autonomy, count on about 6 hours on battery in light use for this versatile Ultrabook with an elegant silver design whose transport is facilitated by its finesse and controlled weight.
