At MWC 2025 Lenovo announced new thin and light laptops powered by the latest generation AMD Kracken Point Ryzen AI 300 processor, the Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 6, Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 and Lenovo ThinkPad T16 Gen 4. These 14 and 16-inch laptops feature up to 2.8K DCI-P3 OLED displays, up to 2TB of NVMe SSD storage, a 2-factor biometric authentication solution, and connectivity with 4G/5G, Wi-Fi 7, USB 4 Type-C and NFC.
Expected in silver or black colors in an aluminum or magnesium design , the Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 6 is driven by a recent AMD Kracken Point processor of the Ryzen AI Pro 300 type , like the Ryzen AI 7 PRO 350 with integrated Radeon 860M graphics solution and Ryzen AI 5 PRO 340 with Radeon 840M .
The Kracken Point is paired with a maximum storage capacity of 2TB M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD and a maximum RAM of 64GB DDR5 via 2 slots.
This laptop has a 14-inch 16/10 screen that comes in several options: IPS Full HD (1920×1200) 45% NTSC 400cd/m² with multi- touch option, IPS Full HD 100% sRGB 500cd/m² with low power option and OLED 2.8K (2880×1800) 120Hz 500cd/m² 100% DCI-P3 Dolby Vision.
Above the panel, a 5.0 megapixel infrared webcam is integrated. It allows facial recognition .
And since a fingerprint reader is also part of the package, we find ourselves here with a 2-factor biometric authentication system that can be used to log into the PC via Windows Hello.
When you’re not using the webcam, Privacy Shutter is present to protect your privacy.
This laptop also features a backlit chiclet keyboard and a dual pointing system: the traditional touchpad and the rarer and more precise TrackPoint , which takes the form of a red mini-joystick in the center.
Of course, 2 speakers are also present – Dolby Audio – under this model which integrates 4G or 5G connectivity (optional), NFC , Wi-Fi 7 be , Bluetooth 5.4, HDMI 2.1, Gigabit Ethernet , Headphone/Microphone combo audio, 2 USB 3.2 (Gen1, 1 Always On) and 2 USB 4 Type-C .
