At MWC 2022, Lenovo announces its new 16/10th 13-inch Ultraportable Lenovo ThinkPad X13s offering a large battery life of 28 hours on Windows 11. This compact fanless laptop is built around a Snapdragon processor, SSD storage or connectivity with Wi-Fi ax and USB-C but also 5G.
The Lenovo ThinkPad X13s is a new ultraportable that weighs 1.06 Kg, measures 298.7 x 206.4 x 13.4 mm and offers an advertised battery life of 28 hours in video playback on Windows 11 (Pro).
It is based on a processor not AMD or Intel but SoC (System-on-Chip) Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 with integrated graphics solution Qualcomm Adreno, all based on ARM architecture.
The heart of this laptop also consists of soldered RAM climbing up to 32GB LPDDR4x 4266MHz as well as M.2 NVMe SSD storage with a maximum capacity of 1TB.
In addition, the Lenovo ThinkPad X13s integrates Wi-Fi 6 or 6E ax connectivity (Qualcomm FastConnect 6900), Bluetooth 5.2, audio combo Headphone / Microphone, 2 USB 3.2 Type-C (Gen2).
In addition, a 5G Snapdragon X55 module is provided as an option via the SIM card reader.
On the display side, this new laptop entrusts its display to a 13.3-inch 16/10th IPS Full HD WUXGA (1920×1200) screen or 300cd/m² with touch option, or 400cd/m² low consumption with low blue light emission.
The screen is topped with a 5.0 megapixel HD webcam with camera shutter to protect privacy and Infrared option allowing facial recognition authentication via Windows Hello technology.
It also uses the built-in fingerprint reader.
Adopting a thin and light Thunder Black black design designed in part from recycled magnesium, this ultraportable also has 2 Dolby Audio speakers, a backlit chiclet keyboard or a dual pointing system combining the classic touchpad with the rarest and most accurate TrackPoint.
Interestingly, the Lenovo ThinkPad X13s is fanless. In other words, it does not integrate a fan and is therefore completely silent.
This ultraportable will be marketed in May 2022 from 1399 euros.
