Chassis, connectors, screen of the Dell Inspiron 15 3593
It sports a discreet look thanks to its black chassis with textured finish.
This laptop is properly equipped with connectors with its practical HDMI video output for easy connection to a TV or monitor, for example, its Wi-Fi ac and Bluetooth 4.1 wireless modules for remote connections and communications, its ports audio and Ethernet or its 3 USB all compatible with both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0, USB 3.0 ensuring transfers up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0 if you plug in USB 3.0 devices.
Note that a numeric keypad is present. Admittedly, it is standard in 15 inches but it happens that it is absent from Dell laptops of this format.
The screen will appeal to lovers of High Definition content and in particular videos due to its definitive Full HD precision, superior to the 1366×768 standard and its 16: 9 format. Thanks to its anti-reflective treatment, the screen also offers better visibility than a bright panel in a bright environment (ex: outdoor).
Performance, battery life of the Dell Inspiron 15 3593
This Dell Inspiron 15 3593 is a 15 inch responsive High Definition laptop designed for everyday use.
In this field as in office automation and surfing on Internet as well as in multitasking content, it delivers good services.
It is indeed built around an Ice Lake processor, the Core i3-1005G1 Turbo low consumption. As a reminder, a Core i3 Turbo is significantly more efficient than a non-Turbo Core i3 (Core i3-7xxxU and earlier).
Here the Core i3 Turbo is accompanied by an amount of standard 4 GB RAM that can be increased if you need to be more comfortable in multitasking by adding a RAM module on the free slot .
Of course, you can watch photos and videos on this laptop thanks to the Intel UHD 620 part integrated into the Comet Lake. Modest, it is not accompanied by a dedicated graphics card which is logical in terms of the positioning of this PC. Therefore, this computer is not designed for games and more generally heavy graphics work.
On the storage side, Dell chooses an SSD. It has the advantage of ensuring a much more fluid and reactive operation than a hard disk, which implies for example application launches and much faster starts / stops.
As such, remember that an SSD is much faster than a hard drive but also more resistant to shocks, more energy efficient and quiet.
Here, however, the 128 GB capacity of the SSD is (much) lower than the standard for hard drives.
If it turns out to be too fair, you can always use an external storage unit. Opting for a USB 3.0 device then represents an interesting solution to benefit from fast transfers.
As for autonomy, bet on about 5 hours on battery in light use for this computer which is not as easily transportable as an Ultrabook.
