The Dell Latitude 5431 and Dell Latitude 5531 are new versatile lightweight 14 and 15 inch laptops based on an Alder Lake Intel processor, SSD storage, NVIDIA graphics card or even connectivity with 4G/5G, Wi-Fi 6E and Thunderbolt 4.
The Dell Latitude 5531 is a new versatile laptop targeting professionals that weighs 1.79 Kg and measures 357.8 x 233.3 x 22.67-24.05 mm .
It incorporates an Intel Alder Lake-H processor either Core i5-12500H (12 cores: 4P 2.5 GHz, 8E 1.8 GHz), or Core i5-12600H (12 cores: 4P 2.7 GHz, 8E 2.0 GHz), or Core i7-12800H (14 cores: 6P 2.4 GHz, 8E 1.8 GHz), all integrating within them the Iris Xe graphics module .
The heart of this 2-in-1 laptop also consists of 8/16/32 GB DDR4 4800MHz of RAM as well as a double storage slot or 2.5 inches for hard disk with a maximum capacity of 2 TB SSD , i.e. 2 M.2 NVMe PCIe SSDs (2230 and 2280 formats) compatible with RAID 0/1 with a capacity of 256 GB to 1 TB.
The Dell Latitude 5531 has a 15.6 inch screen available in several options with comfortable viewing angles (85° vertical/horizontal): WXGA HD (1366×768) 45% NTSC 220cd/m² 500:1, Full HD (1920× 1080) 45% NTSC 250cd/m² 700:1, or Full HD 100% sRGB 400cd/m² 400:1, or Ultra HD 4K (3840×2160) 100% sRGB 400cd/m² 1000:1.
The slab is surmounted by a 720p HD webcam with microphone or optional Full HD Infrared webcam allowing biometric authentication via Windows Hello by facial recognition .
Windows Hello is also used by the optional fingerprint reader .
And there are also 2 speakers (2 x 2W) Waves MaxxAudio Pro as well as a chiclet keyboard with numeric keypad with optional backlighting of the keys.
A dedicated graphics card option is also planned, associated with a 130W USB-C adapter, the GeForce MX550 2 GB GDDR6 dedicated.
As standard (without graphics card) the adapter is a 90W USB-C module.
Two battery options are also possible: Li-Ion 4 cells 64Whr (283 grams) and Li-Ion 6 cells 97Whr (429 grams), both ExpressCharge compatible.
The new Dell Latitude 5531 laptop also offers Wi-Fi 5 ac (2×2, Realtek RTL8822CE) Bluetooth 5.0 or Wi-Fi 6E ax (2×2, Intel AX211) Bluetooth 5.2, HDMI 2.0, combo audio Headset/Mic, Gigabit Ethernet, 2 USB 3.2 (Gen1, 1 PowerShare) and 2 USB-C Thunderbolt 4 as well as a microSD/SDHC/SDXC card reader. 4G /LTE, 5G and NFC
wireless module options are provided.
Count 2,379 euros for a Dell Latitude 5531 with a Core i5-12500H, 16 GB of RAM, 512 GB SSD, Wi-Fi 6E, backlit keyboard, Full HD screen and 6-cell battery, or 3,772 euros for a Core i7- 12800H, GeForce MX550, 32 GB DDR5, 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, 6 cell battery and Full HD display.
Also hybrid, the lighter and more compact Dell Latitude 5431 weighs 1.49 Kg and measures 321.35 x 212 x 20.95-23.6 mm .
It is based on a low-power Intel Alder Lake-P processor Core i5-1240P (12 cores: 4P 1.75 GHz, 8E 1.2 GHz), Core i5-1250P (12 cores: 4P 1.7 GHz, 8E 1.2 GHz) or Core i7 -1270P (12 cores: 4P 2.2 GHz, 8E 1.6 GHz), again with Intel Iris Xe as graphics solution.
On the other hand, storage is limited to an M.2 slot (2230/2280) with a capacity of 256 GB to 1 TB, and only the 4-cell 64Whr storage option is announced.
On the display side, the Dell Latitude 5431 offers a WXGA HD screen (1366×768) 45% NTSC 220cd/m² 300:1, Full HD 45% NTSC 250cd/m² 600:1, or Full HD 100% sRGB 400cd/m² 1000: 1, i.e. Full HD 100% sRGB 300cd/m² 600:1.
The Dell Latitude 5431 is displayed at 2493 euros with a Core i5-1250P, 16 GB of RAM, 512 GB SSD, Full HD screen, Wi-Fi 6E, backlit keyboard, or 3472 euros for a Core i7-1270P, GeForce MX550, 1 TB SSD, 32 GB DDR5, 4G, Wi-Fi 6E and Full HD display.
