The Lenovo ThinkPad P1 Gen 5 with aluminum design is a new Ultrabook equipped with a 16-inch 16/10th IPS anti-glare X-Rite Pantone screen with low blue light emission, either Full HD WUXGA (1920×1200) 100% sRGB 300cd/m² 1200:1, or 2.5K WQXGA (2560×1600) 100% sRGB 500cd/m² 1200:1, or 4K WQUXGA (3840×2400) 100% AdobeRGB 600cd/m² 1500:1 DisplayHDR400 with option Multi-touch touch 10-point anti-fingerprint compatible Lenovo Precision Pen 2 (4096 pressure levels).
Above is a 1080p HD webcam with microphone and Infrared option allowing biometric authentication by facial recognition via Windows Hello technology also operated by the fingerprint reader directly integrated into the power button.
There are also 2 speakers (2 x 2W) Dolby Atmos as well as a backlit chiclet keyboard resistant to splashes.
It is accompanied by a double scoring system combining the classic touchpad with the rarest and most accurate TrackPoint expected under the brand’s ThinkPads.

This laptop is built around an Alder Lake Intel processor and more precisely Alder Lake-H either Core i7-12700H (14 cores, 2.3 GHz, 6P 8E), or Core i7-12800H (14 cores, 2.4 GHz, 6P 8E), or Core i9-12900H (14 cores, 2.5 GHz, 6P 8E), all with iris Xe integrated graphics.

The new Lenovo ThinkPad P1 Gen 5 runs on Windows 11 (Pro) or a Red Hat Enterprise Linux or Ubuntu distribution.
And this with a 90Whr Li-Polymer battery with Rapid Charge technology to recharge it by 80% in 1 hour.
Its robust aluminum black chassis due to its compliance with the American military resistance standard MIL-STD-810H weighs 1.81 Kg and measures 359.5 x 253.8 x 17.7 mm in non-touch mode, against 1.86 Kg and 359.5 x 253.8 x 18.2 mm in touch mode.
The high-end Lenovo ThinkPad P1 Gen 5 is expected in the coming weeks from 2329 euros.
