The Vaio FE is a new compact 14-inch Ultrabook with a colorful design offering an announced battery life of 10 hours on Windows 11 equipped with an Intel Alder Lake-U processor, SSD storage, fingerprint reader or connectivity
Vaio, Sony’s iconic range that has recently become a brand in its own right, welcomes the Vaio FE, a new Ultrabook.
Expected in black, blue, silver or rose gold, the Vaio FE integrates an Intel Alder Lake processor and more precisely Alder Lake-U Core i5-1235U (10 cores, 1.3 GHz, 2P 8E) or Core i7-1255U (10 cores, 1.7 GHz, 2P 8E), the 2 with integrated graphics Iris Xe.
As a dedicated graphics card point on board, the heart of this computer also consists of 8/16 GB of RAM as well as a 512 GB or 1 TB M.2 NVMe SSD storage.
There is also Wi-Fi ax connectivity, Bluetooth 5.1, HDMI, Gigabit Ethernet, headphone/ microphone combo audio, 2 USB 3.1, 1 USB 2.0, 1 USB-C and an SD card reader (up to 512 GB).
The Vaio FE entrusts its display to a 14-inch IPS Full HD (1920×1080) screen topped by a 2.0 megapixel webcam with microphone accompanied by 2 THX Spatial Audio speakers.
Also included is a backlit chiclet keyboard and a fingerprint reader to authenticate by biometric recognition via Windows Hello technology.
The new Ultrabook Vaio FE weighs 1.59 Kg, measures 325 x 221 x 19.8 mm and offers an advertised battery life of 10 hours on Windows 11.
It promises to be across the Atlantic for $ 699 with Core i5, 8 GB of RAM and SSD 512 GB, $ 799 to increase to 16 GB and 1 TB, and $ 949 to get as a bonus a Core i7 processor.
