Viltrox unveiled its first lens for Canon mirrorless cameras with autofocus system, the Viltrox AF 85mm F1.8 STM ED IF with RF mount.
The Viltrox 85mm F1.8 is made of ten elements in seven groups, including four short wavelength elements and an extremely low dispersion (ED) element, while its diaphragm has nine blades.
The lens can focus from 80 cm and offers a maximum magnification of 0.8x.
The autofocus system has a stepping motor (STM) motor and the autofocus can be turned on and off via a switch, while the lens also has a USB-C port at its base for future firmware updates.
Moreover, the Viltrox 85mm F1.8 transmits information to the camera body for recording it in exif data but also allows the aperture to be adjusted by the camera, as it does not have a diaphragm ring.
The lens has a diameter of 8 cm, a length of 9.8 cm and a weight of 530 grams,while it has a multiple coating of HD Nano, with the front crystal being waterproof and resistant to dirt and accepting filters of 72mm.
