A powerful gaming laptop with a very large format, the Alienware m18 is available in an all-AMD edition with a high-end Ryzen 7000 Dragon Range, a Radeon RX 7900M RDNA 3 or GeForce RTX 4090 Ada Lovelace NVIDIA graphics card, SSD storage, an 18-inch 2.5K 165Hz panel to Full HD 480Hz or Wi-Fi 6 and USB-C connectivity and SSD storage with a huge capacity of 8.5 TB!
The Alienware m18 is a massive new gaming laptop that weighs 4.04 Kg and measures 410.3 x 319.9 x 26.7 mm.

It is driven by an AMD Octo Core Dragon Range processor with Zen 4 architecture either Ryzen 7 7745HX, Ryzen 9 7845HX or Ryzen 9 7945HX.

The Dragon Range Ryzen 7045HX is paired with 16/32/64GB DDR5 4800MHz (Core i7) or 5200MHz (Core i9) RAM (2 slots).
But also to a triple SSD storage slot capable of accommodating an SSD from 1 TB to 4 TB, for a maximum capacity of 8.5 TB via 2 SSDs of 4 TB in RAID 0 1 SSD of 512 GB, which is simply huge!
The new Alienware m18 integrates a connectivity positioned mainly on the back: Wi-Fi 6E ax (2×2, Qualcomm WCN6856 or MediaTek MT7922), Bluetooth 5.2, HDMI 2.1, mini-DisplayPort, Gigabit Ethernet, headphone/microphone combo audio, 3 USB 3.2 (Gen1, 1 PowerShare), 2 USB 3.2 Type-C (Gen2, DisplayPort), 1 USB 3.2 Type-C (Gen1) as well as an SD card reader.

It is equipped with an 18-inch 16/10th screen with wide viewing angles, 100% DCI-P3 ComfortView Plus 3ms, either 2.5K (2560×1600) 165Hz or Full HD (1920×1200) 480Hz, 100% DCI-P3.

The panel is topped with a Full HD infrared webcam allowing facial recognition and therefore biometric authentication through Windows Hello technology.
There are also 2 speakers (2 x 2W, Realtek) as well as an AlienFX N-Key Rollover RGB backlit keyboard with numeric keypad, either chiclet or Cherry mechanical keys.

In its Dark Mettalic Moon chassis, this multimedia laptop that runs Windows 11 (Pro) also houses a 6-cell 97Whr battery associated with a 330W adapter.
Obviously, a laptop targeting gamers means an integrated graphics card.
The Texas-based firm offers either an NVIDIA Ada Lovelace solution: GeForce RTX 4060 8 GB GDDR6 dedicated (115W, 2295-2370 MHz), GeForce RTX 4070 8 GB GDDR6 (115W, 2070-2175 MHz), GeForce RTX 4080 12 GB GDDR6 (150W, 1860-2280 MHz) or GeForce RTX 4090 16 GB GDDR6 (150W, 1590-2040 MHz).

Or an AMD RDNA 3 solution with the all-new Radeon RX 7900M 16 GB GDDR6 dedicated (1825MHz-2090MHz, TDP 160-200W, 256bit, 72 CU, 64 MB cache).
On paper, its performance would be at least equivalent to that of a GeForce RTX 4080.

The cooling is entrusted to an in-house Alienare Cryo-tech vapor chamber solution combining 4 very thin fans with heat pipes, air grilles and an exclusive Element 31 thermal paste.
The starting price of the Alienware m18 is obviously high-end: 2799 dollars.
The Intel version based on Core i7-13700HX, 16 GB DDR5, 512 GB SSD, 2.5K 165Hz panel and GeForce RTX 4060 is less than 2000 euros.
