The Lenovo ThinkPad E14 Gen 7 and Lenovo ThinkPad E16 Gen 3 are new 14- and 16-inch thin and light Ultrabooks with up to 2.8K 120Hz displays, featuring the latest Intel Arrow Lake Core Ultra 200 processor, dual PCIe SSD storage, Thunderbolt 4 and Wi-Fi 6E connectivity, and 2-factor biometric authentication.
The Lenovo ThinkPad E14 Gen 7 which weighs 1.34 Kg and measures 313 x 220.3 x 10.1- 15.3 mm runs on Windows 11 (Pro) with a 48Whr or 64Whr Li-Polymer battery
This laptop is built around a latest generation Intel Arrow Lake processor :
– low-power Core Ultra 200U with integrated Iris Xe graphics solution : Core Ultra 5 225U , Core Ultra 5 235U or Core Ultra 7 265U
– high-performance Core Ultra 200H with more powerful integrated Intel Arc graphics module: Core Ultra 5 225H or Core Ultra 7 255H
The brand tells us that in certain regions, Intel Raptor Lake Refresh processor options up to Core 7 and AMD up to Ryzen 7 will be available.
The core also consists of a dual M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD storage slot of up to 2 TB and a maximum RAM of 64 GB DDR5 5600MHz.
The Lenovo ThinkPad E14 Gen 7 also offers Wi-Fi 6E ax connectivity , Bluetooth 5.3, HDMI 2.1, Headphone/Mic combo audio, 1 USB 3.2 (Gen2), 1 USB 3.2 (Gen1), 1 USB 3.2 Type-C (Gen2) and 1 USB-C Thunderbolt 4 .
You can authenticate yourself biometrically using two factors , via Windows Hello: the fingerprint reader and the Full HD webcam whose infrared technology allows facial recognition.
However, the webcam is only Full HD by default – without infrared.
Below the webcam we find the screen, here a 14-inch anti-glare model with low blue light in 16:10 format , either IPS Full HD (1920×1200) 45% NTSC 300cd/m² with multi- touch option, or IPS 2.8K (2880×1800) 120Hz 100% sRGB 400cd/m².
A backlit chiclet keyboard accompanied by the classic touchpad and the rarer (and more precise) TrackPoint pointing system (red mini-joystick in the center) as well as 2 Harman Dolby Atmos speakers complete the package.
Featuring a 180° fully flat aluminum chassis , the new Lenovo ThinkPad E14 Gen 7 will be available from April 2025 starting at €669, with the base price dropping to €499 in May 2025 with a larger number of models released.
Its big brother, the Lenovo ThinkPad E16 Gen 3, is expected for the same periods, but from 679 euros and 509 euros respectively.
It stands out with its 16-inch screen , also anti-glare with low blue light in 16:10 format , either IPS Full HD 45% NTSC 300cd/m² with multi- touch option, or IPS 2.5K (2560×1500) 120Hz 100% sRGB 400cd/m².
In a larger format, this Ultrabook weighs 1.63 kg with dimensions of 356 x 249 x 10.1-17.1 mm .
These allow it to accommodate a numeric keypad on the side of the chiclet keyboard.
